PNP President Elect
The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) sincerely congratulates Minister Portia Simpson Miller on her election to the position of Leader of the Peoples National Party. Her victory reflects her popularity with the people of Jamaica and we have no doubt that she will bring her own inimitable leadership style to the position. The crowning achievement of her political career spanning three and half decades, she joins an outstanding group of leaders.
We join other entities in wishing Minister Simpson Miller every success on this significant and historic achievement. The PSOJ stands ready to work with Minister Simpson Miller and to lend our support to initiatives and endeavours which will lead to a vibrant private sector and ultimately a strong and united Jamaica.
We anticipate the appointment of a new Cabinet and encourage all concerned to re-focus their energies on the issues and challenges of governing the country.
